Guillermo Gonzalez Rodriguez
First Officer at Ryanair
A Bit About Me
I am a Boeing 737-800 First Officer currently operating under Ryanair SOPs, having completed my type rating in February 2024. My aviation journey began through an integrated ATPL (A) programme at Atlantic Flight Training Academy, where I developed a strong foundation in commercial flight operations, multi-engine flying, and instrument procedures.

Following the completion of my ATPL training, I progressed into airline operations and transitioned onto the Boeing 737-800, operating in a high-tempo, performance-driven commercial environment. My training and operational experience have allowed me to develop disciplined cockpit procedures, strong situational awareness, and effective multi-crew coordination in accordance with airline standards.

Throughout my development, I have placed strong emphasis on CRM, communication, and continuous improvement. Having completed both APS MCC and Advanced UPRT training, I understand the importance of structured preparation, resilience, and professionalism during type rating and airline transition phases.

My mentoring approach focuses on helping aspiring airline pilots prepare for ATPL progression, MCC preparation, and type rating transitions with clarity and confidence. I aim to support pilots not only in passing assessments, but in understanding how to perform effectively within a real airline operational environment.
