Pilotium Launches AI Coach v2 — Role-Specific Career Plans for Every Aviation Professional

Pilotium Editorial Team

May 9, 2026

Pilotium has launched AI Coach v2, a significant update to its AI-powered career coaching feature that introduces personalised, role-specific career plans for pilots, cabin crew, and aviation professionals across seven distinct career tracks.
The update, available immediately to all Pilotium members at no additional cost, represents a shift in how the platform approaches career development — moving from a general-purpose AI assistant to a structured coaching system that adapts to each member's specific role, career stage, and target airline.

What's New in AI Coach v2

The core addition in v2 is the role-specific career plan engine. When a member opens the AI Coach for the first time, the system generates a personalised milestone checklist built around their declared role — whether that is a Student Pilot working toward their first type rating, a First Officer targeting a specific airline assessment, or a Captain preparing for a command upgrade.

Seven roles are currently supported:

  • Student Pilot

  • First Officer

  • Captain

  • Type Rating Instructor / Examiner

  • Cabin Crew

  • Ground Handling Agent

  • Aviation Enthusiast

Each plan is structured around the specific milestones, documentation requirements, and assessment benchmarks relevant to that role within the EASA regulatory environment. Members can track progress through each milestone and return to the coach at any point for guidance on their next step.

The AI Coach itself has been recalibrated to respond in the manner of a senior aviation professional — direct, specific, and without filler. It draws on the knowledge base of an active airline First Officer and a senior EASA Type Rating Examiner and Instructor.

Built for the EASA Community

Pilotium was founded by Alican Yarıcı, an active SunExpress First Officer, alongside co-manager Mustafa Cumhur Yarıcı, a senior EASA TRE/TRI examiner with decades of airline experience. The platform is operated by Pilotium Aviation Services EOOD, registered in Bulgaria and serving members across more than 20 countries.

The AI Coach was designed specifically for the EASA regulatory environment — covering type rating pathways, licence revalidation requirements, airline selection processes, and assessment preparation in a way that reflects how the European aviation industry actually operates.

"The problem we kept seeing was that pilots and cabin crew had access to either generic career advice or expensive one-off sessions with mentors," said Alican Yarıcı. "AI Coach v2 is the answer to that gap — structured, role-specific guidance that's available at 3am the night before an assessment, not just when a mentor happens to be free."

Available to All Members

AI Coach v2 is available immediately to all Pilotium members as part of the standard free membership as of May 2026. No upgrade is required to access the role-specific career plan or the AI coaching functionality.

Members who have not yet set their role can do so through the onboarding form, which takes approximately three minutes to complete and allows the AI Coach to generate a fully personalised plan.

Pilotium currently has 75 members across more than 20 countries, with career programs covering airline assessment preparation, type rating guidance, cabin crew selection, and command upgrade readiness.
